All festival applicants receive 2 tickets to a film program of their choice through our application deadline of Tuesday, August 7th! Our 2013 festival takes place September 27th-29th in Beverly Hills, and screenings are located at the prestigious WGA Theater on Saturday, September 28th & Sunday, September 29th. Other ticket packages include VIP Tickets and Filmmakers Passes, giving these select ticket holders access to red carpet networking parties, 2 full days of workshops & seminars in an intimate setting with access to industry insiders, and 2 full days of spectacular film screenings from around the world. We also give a generous amount of awards in different categories including new categories in Animation and Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

In this section we feature our past filmmakers, Artists, Honorees, and VIP Speakers, and Actors from prior festivals. We will post on the lady filmmakers BLOG page, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest Pages and where relevant the Pinterest Page!
We hope to not only promote your work, but create interest in each other and build a sense of community for future collaboration and support of one another. This will be a bi-weekly newsletter so we hope that you will not only participate but enjoy reading about each other's successes and relevant industry news!

Jan Militello (2012 Alumni and Screenplay Winner, Hadley House) won the "One Scene, One Page Keyword" competition for her screenplay "Unique Boutique," where an exchange at the Unique Boutique results in unexpected consequences. The contest's keywords were perfume, tattoo, and swamp, and Jan has won a $25 gift certificate and free entry to the Just Effing Entertain Me Screenwriting Competition.
Christos Vasilopoulos, Actor, Lady Filmmakers Programmer and Advisor, appears as Olek in the hit TV series, "Banshee". In the Amish town of Banshee, PA, an ex-conman and thief assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff. Christos is known for his Greek TV roles in such shows as "Lola." Season 2 of "Banshee" is now in production on the East Coast. The show airs Fridays at 10 pm on Cinemax.
2012 guest musician Amanda Jones, and her band Anti Job, have a busy concert schedule this summer. They have upcoming shows in Los Angeles at Malo on July 31st and at Canter's Deli - Kibitz Room on August 10th, and in Tujunga at American Legion on August 3rd. Director Pamela Green announces her Kickstarter campaign for her documentaryBe Natural: The untold story of Alice Guy-Blaché. Lady Filmmakers is excited to welcome Nina Corrado as our new Director of Industry Relations! She will serve as Programmer, Juror, and our festival’s liaison to VIP filmmakers and celebrities.
Corrado, a film graduate of Full Sail University, has co-produced over 100 episodes of CBS’ “The Mentalist” and served as the series’ primary Second Unit and Insert Director. She made her directorial debut in the short film Mindfield, which garnered Corrado Best New Director at the 2012 Madrid International Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Chinese American Film Festival, and Best Director and Best Short Film at Lewiston Auburn Film Festival. Her producing talents helped launch the directorial careers of Courteney Cox, Demi Moore, and Kate Hudson. She has run the festival circuit in New York, Boston, Newport Beach, Detroit, Las Vegas and Mexico.
Corrado is partner at Broken Toy Works, LLC, developing two feature films, an hour-long drama, and a half-hour comedy for television. She was selected for the Warner Brothers Directors Workshop, and continues to serve as the Co-Producer/Second Unit Director on “The Mentalist.”
