Downpour

Synopsis:
This short film is a celebration of Irish rain. A bride-to-be recalls pivotal moments in her relationship that all took place in a shower a drizzle or a downpour.

Biographies:

Claire Dix (Writer/Director) is an award winning writer and director of short films and music videos. Her second short Free Chips Forever won several awards including Best Irish Short at the Cork International Film Festival in 2009. Claire has also worked as series director on a number of television series broadcast on irish national broadcaster, RTÉ 1 and has been devising and developing training and programme ideas with Community Television for several years. 

Nodlag Houlihan (Producer) graduated from the Northern Film School in Leeds in 2003. She worked for six years in the Irish television industry before setting up her own company, Zucca Films in 2009. In 2010 she produced the short Blue Rinse which won a number of international awards and was an official selection of the AFI Silverdocs Documentary Festival 2011. Downpour is her first drama short as producer.
