Flamenco: The Enduring Art
Director: Tina Love
Producer: David Bradstreet, Tina Love
Writer: Tina Love
Synopsis: Using old footage and photos we travel through time with Inesita as she shares about her distinctive performance career of 8 decades. The title is inspired by a lost short film that NYU students shot in 1962 featuring Inesita. 'Inesita: The Art of Flamenco.' The cameraman/ editor was Martin Scorsese (his first 16mm project.) This short features some footage from a work print from that shoot, which she found some years ago in her house. So as Inesita shares about the ever evolving but enduring art of flamenco, we get a little film history trivia. In 2010 UNESCO declared flamenco an 'Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity'.
Screening Time: 12:15pm - Saturday, September 30th 2017
