Synopsis:
Jody's Bra is a charming, occasionally uncomfortable comedy about a 12 year old girl and her larger-than-average bra. When Jody's over-sized bra is stolen by the popular girls at summer camp, and her social life threatened, Jody must undergo an adventurous recovery mission, one that will challenge old friendships, forge new alliances, and ultimately test what it means to be comfortable and confident in her own skin.
Biographies:
WRITER / DIRECTOR - JANINE SIDES
Janine Sides is a director, writer, and cinematographer in her third year at the University of California’s Graduate School of Cinematic Arts. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her work as director and cinematographer. Janine has had a long relationship with the image, and uses it to narrate fairytales and childhood experiences. Janine Sides started taking pictures when she was sixteen-years-old, thanks to the support of a high school teacher. After earning a bachelor's degree in journalism, Janine began working as a photojournalist in the Washington D.C. area. She has traveled all over the world for non-profits, government organizations, and publications photographing world events. While working as a photographer, Janine started shooting short films and working in the independent film community in the D.C. area. She also made documentary films for the U.S. Department of State before starting the USC Cinematic Arts graduate program. While at USC, Janine has received the Sun Cinematography Scholarship and the Edward Thomas Troutner Endowed Scholarship.
PRODUCER - JENN LEWIS
Jenn Lewis is producer/director who recently received her BA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. Originally from New Jersey, she has worked in film and television production in both New York and Los Angeles. While at school, she produced multiple graduate thesis films and directed a 480 undergraduate thesis film titled See the Girls Dance. Currently, she works as an Assistant Story Producer on Season 2 of Discovery's American Guns.
PRODUCTION DESIGNER - BONNIE BACEVICH
Born in Indiana, Bonnie Bacevich's imagination was always working to transform the world around her. She found a perfect outlet when she moved to Los Angeles and entered the world of design. She studied at USC's School of Architecture, but her passion for storytelling compelled her to wander toward the film school. While completing her studies in architecture, she began designing films on the side, including THE MISCHIEVOUS CASE OF CORDELIA BOTKIN (Best Production Design - WCA Film Fest '11), MEANWHILE… (Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker Winner), and JEFF AND RAVI FAIL HISTORY (premiered at SXSW. She then headed to the American Film Institute Conservatory where she completed her MFA in Production Design. Her thesis film NANI made its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival and is continuing on the festival circuit. Bonnie is currently working as a freelance production designer for all types of media.
CINEMATOGRAPHER - JONATHON BARENBOIM
Jonathan Barenboim was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, and graduated from Tufts University. Simultaneously, he earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where he concentrated in painting and photography. Upon graduation Jonathan moved to Los Angeles to attend the graduate program at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. During his time there Jonathan has been the recipient of several awards for his cinematography work. Most notably, he was awarded the prestigious Annenberg Fellowship for cinematography, a full academic scholarship. Jonathan is experienced in a wide range of formats including 35mm, 16mm, HD, RED, and DSLR. His most recent work includes Dark Life, a gritty dramatic web series for Trend Media, segments for ORF Austria Sports TV and HBO First Look, as well as, commercials for Coca-Cola Classic and Doritos. Jonathan also recently wrapped production on a promotional segment for Cartoon Network starring Gisele Bundchen. His latest commercial for Doritos, Pug Attack, was the winner of the Crash The Super Bowl Contest, and was the top rated 2011 Super Bowl spot by USA Today’s Ad Meter.
EDITOR - R.J. DANIEL HANNA
R. J. Daniel Hanna is freelance writer, director, and editor recently graduated from the USC MFA Program. His films, both in short and feature form, have played in festivals in and outside of the U.S. In 2010 he was a Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker, directing a 50 second spot for Coke, and this year created and directed a time-travel buddy comedy web-series “Jeff & Ravi Fail History” for Subway Restaurants. He is currently in post on a web-series for Jessie Malakouti’s “Jessie and the Toy Boys” as part of her career’s new direction as she tours with Britney Spears. A recent USC thesis film Daniel edited was selected to Palm Springs International Film Festival as well as Los Angeles Outfest.
