Amores Ciegos/Love, Intertwined

Synopsis:

Marta can’t have children. Her husband has an affaire with Mila, Marta’s own sister, and single mother of Daniel. The lives of all three start to turn around when Daniel’s father, shows up.

Biography:

Marisé Samitier graduated from both the University of Zaragoza, Spain, with a degree in English Philology, and from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Master’s degree in Film. In 1999 she was selected as one of the eight women to participate in the prestigious American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women. She wrote and directed her first short film “The Ring” in 1995, and from then on, she has written and directed “Bazaar”, “The Virgin”, “The Return of Reason” and “Apartment 427”. All her shorts have received awards in the international film circuit. “Amores Ciegos” (Love, Intertwined) is her first film shot entirely in Spain. She is currently developing a trilogy of feature films on immigration and co-writing the thriller Murky Waters.
