Brianne Moncrief (Writer / Director): Not Right Now is Brianne's first leap from actress to filmmaker. Brianne spent the first 7 years of her career acting in New York City, where she appeared on stage at Manhattan Theatre Club, on film in Adam McKay's The Other Guys, and on television in The Sopranos, Guiding Light, and as Colby Chandler in All My Children for 154 episodes. You can look for her in the upcoming films Slumlord and Bridesburg. After directing Not Right Now, Brianne directedthe play, Help, in DTLA for TinyRhino and also completed writing her first feature about a blended family’s turbulent weekend getaway. Brianne is a proud graduate of Fordham University.
Alix Spence (Cinematographer): With an emphasis in directing and cinematography, in 2014 Spence was the recipient of the Sun Cinematography Award for excellence in cinematography. She has shot ongoing video content for Flaunt Magazine and is currently finishing up as director and cinematographer for an experimental documentary commissioned by KCET. She will be heading to Cuba in late fall to direct and shoot a documentary. Her photography was recently featured at the Brick Lane Gallery in London. Alix Spence was born in Texas, raised in Pennsylvania and received a B.A. in Film Theory from King's College London in London, England in 2012. She studied directing at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, UK and currently resides in Los Angeles, having received an M.F.A. in Film and Television Production from University of Southern California in 2015.
