WRITER / DIRECTOR / PRODUCER - ELEONORE DAILLY
A perpetual fish out of water, from a mixed-race background, Eleonore has always been entranced with storytelling from an underdog's point of view. That first led her to practice international litigation and human rights law in New York City and Paris, and later work as a public policy advocate in South America and Africa. Eleonore also wrote short stories and legal and political pieces for many trade publications and several of her op-eds were published during presidential campaigns. A deep encounter with acting and a curiosity for human psychology drew her to Los Angeles to work in development for several major studios. She received her film training at USC's prestigious Peter Stark Program and was selected as the PGA's Debra Hill Fellow of the year. In 2009, she co-directed and produced “Dirt! The Movie,” a feature length documentary about the life beneath our feet, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival alongside "The Cove". The film combined stunning cinematography with animated sequences, and was narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis. Eleonore is inspired the human ability to overcome great odds and continues to work in the realm of both the documentary and narrative feature. She is set to direct her first feature film in the spring of 2013, a quirky comedy set in the south of France, featuring SNL genius comic Taran Killam.
