Synopsis: Ten year-old Jesse has watched her mom’s modern dance company all her life. To Jesse, beautiful Anna, the company’s lead dancer, is just perfect. When Anna suffers a stroke that leaves her left side paralyzed, Jesse witnesses Anna’s triumph over adversity as she pulls herself out of depression to dance again.

Elizabeth Gracen arrived in NYC from a small town in Arkansas a year after traveling the world as Miss America 1982. She used her scholarship prize money to study acting at HB Studios and photography at the New School. She later moved to Los Angeles where she has worked as an actress for over twenty years. A veteran of many television and film productions, Elizabeth is best known for her work on the long-running HIGHLANDER: THE SERIES and its spin-off, HIIGHLANDER: THE RAVEN. In 2000, she directed, THE DAMN DEAL - a documentary short about three young, female impersonators in Arkansas who compete in beauty pageants. In 2011, Elizabeth produced and directed IN BETWEEN – a dance for camera created in collaboration with Hilary Thomas and the Lineage Dance Company in Pasadena, CA – a modern dance company dedicated to raising support and awareness for charitable, educational and nonprofit organizations across the country. Elizabeth has just completed THE PERFECTION OF ANNA - a short narrative film that tells the inspiring story of a woman’s courageous struggle to dance again after suffering a devastating stroke. It is the first production from Flapper Films LLC- a film company created by Ms. Gracen to develop projects that spotlight, support, educate and inspire women from tween to twilight years. Elizabeth Gracen is currently scripting her first feature film set in Arkansas and is in development to shoot another short film in France next summer. Elizabeth will also continue her work with Lineage Dance and direct and produce a science/dance film, ‘The Brain in Motion,’ for the US educational film market.
