A chance encounter between a homeless street performer and a young boy reignites long-forgotten passion for entertaining, while in turn offering promise of a connection that will influence the course of their lives.
Showing a passion for writing and drama from a young age, Tanya Andrews was born and raised in a small coastal town in QLD, Australia. While pursuing a career in advertising, she continued to dabble in filmmaking, producing her first writer/director short film 'Innocent Interference' in 2006, which went on to win Budget Filmmaker UK's 'Best Directed' short film. Next was her writer/director piece 'Lonely Hearts Interrupted', commissioned by Northern Ireland Screen Short Steps programme in 2008 which received official selection in Glaway Film festival and won the Audience Award at Houston Worldfest. Citing Pedro Amaldovar and Guillermo Arriaga as two of her main cinematic influences, Tanya continues to build her portfolio with films that explore concepts of human connection, loss and evolution with 'ARussian Elephant in the Room'.
