Synopsis: 

A young Burmese boy walks out of his village, vowing to return as a doctor to rescue his people from persecution.  This is the story of a young Burmese boy's extraordinary journey out of the jungle and his evolution into a leader. At the age of 13, Sasa left his village in the Chin State of Burma. He promised his people that in spite of the Myanmar regime's edicts against health care and higher education, he would become a doctor and return to alleviate their suffering from famine and disease. Biography: 


Diane Namm started her professional career in NYC as a children's book editor/writer at Grosset & Dunlap, Macmillan Publishing and Simon & Schuster. After moving to LA, Diane attended AFI's Screenwriting Program, penned four feature-length award-winning screenplays and six critically acclaimed stage plays for West of Broadway, performed at the Pasadena Playhouse, Edgemar Center for the Arts and Santa Monica Playhouse. In September 2010, Diane founded LADY OF THE CANYON (ALL MEDIA) to develop and produce book, film, television and internet projects, and to serve as a central source for all content formerly developed by Diane Namm, LLC With 7 produced films (narrative and documentary), 12 stage productions, 65 books to her credit and counting, Diane is continuously developing content for all media. FINDING HOPE is Diane's most current project, created for television and theatrical distribution. Based on THE SACRIFICE, which received "Best Director" and four other awards at the 2009 Monaco Film Festival, a "Special Jury Award" at the 2009 Lady Filmmakers Festival, and "Audience Award" at the 2008 Holly Shorts Film Festival. Projects in development are MISSING IN ARIZONA, TWO HITMEN (based on her live-action short, TELEMAFIA) and the AMAZING PIGEON RACE (based on her award-winning animated short GREAT AMERICAN PIGEON RACE).
