Synopsis:

A minor earthquake shakes London in the night. Tom and Rose’s perfect marriage collides with sexual fantasy and exposes the cracks in their relationship. The aftershocks are more far-reaching than Tom and Rose could have imagined. 

Scenes of an Adult Nature follows a couple exploring the parameters of their own fidelity and discovering a new level of honesty in their relationship. When are lies helpful and when is truth damaging?

Biographies:



Silent Kisses Productions Samantha and Darwin have worked together as actors for many years. They formed their production company in order to bring their experience as actors to the screen and explore more deeply into themes which interested them as people and artists. Together, they produced, directed and wrote Scenes of an Adult Nature following a month of research interviewing couples. Samantha Whittaker After studying English literature at University College London, Samantha went on to a career in acting. She has worked extensively on stage in such productions as Trevor Nunn’s Hamlet at Kevin Spacey’s Old Vic Theatre, and works in television both in the UK and the US. She has appeared in such shows as Happiness, Canterbury Tales, Stephen Poliakoff’s Gideon’s Daughter, and Touch, the new Tim Kring/Kiefer Sutherland series for Fox. SOAAN is her third project as a writer, her previous films Sewn Up and Marigolds, have been given five stars by the BBC film site and have won awards at festivals in the US and UK. Darwin Shaw Following a career as a Doctor at King’s College London, Darwin changed direction to become an actor. After completing the Post-Graduate Classical Acting course at LAMDA he was cast in Casino Royale, which has led to parts in Blockbusters such as Prince of Persia and the forthcoming films, John Carter of Mars and Ridley Scott’s, Prometheus. He has also worked in the for the Royal Shakespeare Company and is about to film the Borgias for Showtime. An expert in stage combat Darwin stunt coordinated his first feature last year. 


DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY Mikolaj Jaroszewicz has been a professional Director of Photography for over a decade and has been lighting and shooting feature films, television drama, documentary, commercials and promos in a variety of formats.  He was principal cinematographer on the BAFTA-nominated Oscar-winning animated short ‘Peter and the Wolf’ and a great many films that he has shot in Poland, Germany and England have received accolades on the international festival scene. Most recently, he has just completed cinematography and co-directed a feature film based on Tony Hawks's bestselling novel ‘Playing the Moldovans at Tennis’. He is based in London and works internationally. COMPOSER Adam Nicholas writes music for film, dance,  theatre, records and installations. He has worked internationally as a record producer collaborating with grammy award winning musicians like Horacio El Negro from Santana and bassist - John Benitez. After completing a degree in Electronic music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2010, he continued working on short films including "Madonna of The Meadow" for the National Portrait Gallery , and has recently been commissioned to write a suite of music for Latitude festival about the exo-planetary solar systems.  His other scores include "The Frogs Who Wanted A King, for the Barbican short film festival. For theatre these include Don Juan In Soho, Miss Julie Crisp and The Man Who, and The Ducks. Adam is also a busy songwriter and record producer, creating as part of a production duo with singer Alyusha Chagrin. Adam continually seeks to write music for conceptual art and was commissioned to compose for the popular Philharmonia Play.orchestra sound installation at the Royal Festival Hall and two contemporary dance productions by the Laban school of Dance.
