Synopsis: A teenage girl from Harlem struggles with obeying her mother's wishes and risk the relationship they have in order to play the violin.
The copious, versatile, witty, fast learning Nelcie Souffrant, has portrayed roles such as the musically talented violinist Stacey in “Strings Attached”, the studious abused teenager Margaret in “Young Stan” and the raging murderous teenager Tiana in Discovery ID “Frenemies”, while focusing and working ceaselessly in the film and television market. Nelcie has trained under Rose Bonzcek and Gary Cowling at Brooklyn College. Nelcie has recently been accepted to Play House West (Studio 4 NYC). Nelcie most recent work "Strings Attached" which is written, directed, produced and starring herself has been accepted to Cannes Short Film Corner, LA International Shorts Film Festival, AOF Film Festival and Urban World presented by BET. Prior to that Nelcie was nominated for the Achievement in Acting Award at the SoCal Film Festival for the lead role of Margaret. Nelcie was also the lead in the short film "Transporter" as Charlotte which was a semifinalist in the Ron Howard Project Imagination Contest.
Nelcie in her spare time enjoys listening to classical music and learning about different African cultures. She enjoys reading books on understanding life. Currently Nelcie is reading "365 Ways to Live the Law of Attraction" by Meera Lester. Nelcie is fluent in Haitian-Creole but she is ready to pick up the language of love French. She has a crazy obsession with ceasar dressing. Before placing an Order she must first taste the dressing. Since writing and director "Strings Attached" Nelcie is looking forward to creating more films. Since meeting her role model Nelcie has been looking forward to Spike Lee directing her and having a one on one where she can pick the brain of the visionary himself. Marc John Jefferies debuted as the title character Isaiah in the 1995 drama Losing Isaiah as a toddler. He was also featured as a child spokesman in commercials for PeoplePC. Jefferies appeared in many popular films when he was younger, including The Haunted Mansion, Stuart Little 2, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and Spider-Man 2. He was Young Dre in Brown Sugar. He also did voiceovers in the films Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc.. He played Derrick on the NBC sitcom The Tracy Morgan Show. In 2005, he portrayed a young Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson in Get Rich or Die Tryin'. In 2009 he portrayed the rapper Lil' Cease in the 2009 feature Notorious, a biopic about The Notorious B.I.G..
