Diablo Cody, Writer
Ms. Diablo will receive her Trailblazer Award at the end of the panel discussion.
Academy Award winning writer. Juno was runner-up for the Toronto International Film Festival People's Choice Award, won second prize at the Rome Film Festival, and earned four Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Picture. Cody herself won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for her debut script, which also picked up a Golden Globe nomination and an Independent Spirit Awardfor Best Screenplay. She also won screenplay honors from BAFTA, the Writers Guild of America, Broadcast Film Critics Association, the National Board of Review, the Chicago Film Critics Association, the Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association, the Florida Film Critics Circle, the Southeastern Film Critics Association, the Satellite Awards, and the Cinema for Peace Award 2008 for Most Valuable Work of Director, Producer & Screenwriter for Juno.

Pam Dixon, CSA President
After attending The University of Southern California, Pam was hired by CBS Television. After a few months, she became Assistant to the Head of Casting. Six months later, she left CBS Television to become Vice President of Casting for ABC Television. A year later, she was promoted to Senior Vice President of Casting for the ABC Television Network. She oversaw the casting for all series, mini-series, television movies and daytime soaps. Pam left ABC Television to become a Production Vice President for Paramount Pictures under Michael Eisner. After several years as a motion picture and television executive, Pam decided to open her own casting company. For the last several years, Pam has been an independent feature Casting Director. During this time, she has cast numerous features: Zorro, Green Lantern, Barney’s Version, City Slickers, Waterdance, The Craft, Angels in the Outfield, Tremors, Dick, The Moderns, Goldeneye, Music Box, Baby Boom, Cookie’s Fortune, Gosford Park, and Prairie Home Companion. Recently, Pam completed casting on “K-11” and has begun working on “The Hive” with Joel Schumacher. She has been fortunate to work with many talented directors such as: Robert Altman, Alan Rudolph, Martin Campbell, Barry Levinson, Joel Schumacher and Paul Schrader.

Shane Hurlbut, ASC
is an accomplished cinematographer, a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who has lensed seventeen additional features including "Terminator: Salvation," "We Are Marshall," "Greatest Game Ever Played," "Drumline," and the upcoming "Act of Valor" and "Kin.” He recently produced and shot the short “The Last 3 Minutes.” Hurlbut has always put technology second to story telling. The consumer DSLR from Canon defines him as a true innovator. Hurlbut mastered this device by turning it into a cinema rig capable of producing digital film. Shane’s also been recognized by Canon as an Explorer of Light and by the Tiffen Company as an ImageMaker.
