CREW
Lisa Gold – Writer / Director
Lisa Gold has written award-winning screenplays; she has also written
and/or directed and produced six award-winning short films. Lisa made her
just completed short THE DEATH OF TOYS as a Fellow in the AFI Directing
Workshop for Women, a highly competitive program which each year gives
selected women funds, training, support and resources to make a short film.
Lisa’s passion for improv comedy can be seen in her other five short
films, which were made for various 48 Hour film competitions. She directed
the short AN INCONVENIENT AFFAIR; wrote, directed and produced REALITIES
OF LOVE and THE BOARDWALK SPY; and wrote and produced THE POWER and
I HATE ALINA. Although written, shot and edited in only two days, these films
have played in various mainstream film festivals in the US and internationally.
As an improvisational actress, Lisa has performed in various venues around
Los Angeles; she is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory. Lisa’s feature screenplay THE POKER
WARS was a Finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Competition, reaching the top 10 out
of over 5,000 submissions. THE POKER WARS, a drama, also won the CineStory
Screenwriting Awards. Lisa has written four feature length screenplays, and is developing her latest
family action/adventure script THE SECRET OF SHANGRI-LA into a children’s novel.
Molly Kasch – Producer
Molly Kasch has produced several short films, television commercials and a television
pilot. She is currently producing the non-profit documentary “Defining Beauty: Ms.
Wheelchair America”, narrated by Golden Globe winner Katey Sagal. It is a thoughtprovoking
film about the vibrant lives of five women with disabilities on their journey to
the 2010 Ms. Wheelchair America pageant, where the concept of beauty is defined
through the lens of advocacy & perseverance. Molly's award-winning short “The
Burger” debuted at the Vail Film Festival and gained worldwide distribution.
Molly has a BS from Babson College and over 10 years of experience in business,
working with independent production companies, advertising agencies and corporate
marketing. She recently founded her own production company, Five 18 Productions,
which is committed to bringing light to subjects often overlooked and to exploring and
exposing the human condition.
Brenda Blair – Producer
Brenda Blair holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Producing from the American Film Institute where
she was awarded the Hewlett Packard Scholarship in the amount of $20,000. During her attendance at
AFI, Brenda produced the short film, DELAYED, which was recently nominated for a BAFTA award and
was accepted into the Las Vegas Film Festival. She also assisted the producer of the feature film,
MACHO, now in distribution with IFC. Since her departure from AFI she has line produced four shorts,
including THE MUSHROOM SESSIONS, which was accepted into the 2010 LA Shorts Fest and
PARACUSIA, which received the 2010 Sloan Production Grant in the amount of $25,000. Brenda is
currently living in Los Angeles, California where she is co-producing the feature film, APOLLO 18.
Lillian E. Benson, A.C.E. – Editor
Benson has edited numerous documentaries for HBO, CNN, The Learning Channel, The Discovery
Channel, and PBS. Her feature film credits include ALL ABOUT YOU, AU PAIR CHOCOLAT, SOLILOQUY,
ALMA’S RAINBOW, and TWISTED starring Christian Slater. She has collaborate with director Debbie
Allen on three movies of the week including the highly-rated LIFE IS NOT A FAIRY TALE-THE
FANTASIA BARRINO STORY for Lifetime. Benson was part of the first season of the dramatic series
SOUL FOOD for Showtime.
Ms. Benson is a member of American Cinema Editors, the honorary society of film editors and serves on their board of directors.
P. Daniel Newman - Composer
P. Daniel Newman is a composer, sound designer/editor and engineer specializing in independent film and television projects of all genres and scopes. He has been writing and producing songs and TV/film scores since 1991. His expertise ranges from writing and producing of simple voice-overs to full orchestral scoring and complete audio postproduction services. In 2002, Newman established Newmagic Entertainment to provide music editorial and postproduction services for independent films. In 2008 Newman founded Newmagic Music and Sound, a provider of complete music and audio
production and post-production services to the film, television, multi-media and themed entertainment industries.

Kim Rhodes - Lily
Kim Rhodes portrayed the role of Cindy Harrison on two different soap opera series, “Another World” and “As the World Turns”. While performing in “Another World”, Rhodes was nominated, along with Mark Pinter, for a Soap Opera Digest award as "Favorite New Couple". Rhodes starred in the Disney Channel sitcom “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and “The Suite Life on Deck”, as Carey Martin, the mother of twins Zack and Cody. Prior to her Disney Channel début, she previously acted with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for one season, portraying the roles of "Daphne Stillington" in Noel Coward's Present Laughter and "Helena" in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Rhodes' film credits include “Christmas with the Cranks”, based on the novel by John Grisham, and Mark Vadik’s “Cyrus.”
Reese Hartwig - Seth
Reese Hartwig attended the prestigious school of acting called "LA Life" and has been practicing the craft ever since 2008. His first audition landed him a part in a music video and Hartwig has done numerous commercials since including saying "What's in your wallet" for Capital One. His television credits include the number one show "NCIS". Besides a number of short films, Hartwig has recently worked in the feature films "The Muppets" and "Crazy Eyes" to be released in the fall of 2011. Darrien Skylar - Little Lily
Darrien Blue Skylar has been acting since the age of 5. Darrien's recent credits include the AFI short film "The Debt Collector," Wingspan Pictures’ "Love is All You Need?" and "Pullover," a UCLA MFA film directed by Camilo Prince Salazar. She can also be seen on the album cover of KORN’s "Remember Who You Are" and on the national Hillshire Farmscommercial. Darrien also starred in the short films “Dandelion in the Pavement” and “Z”.
