Fiona Foster was born and raised in Bisbee, Arizona. Initially studying Visual Communication on a full academic scholarship at The University of Arizona, Ms. Foster applied and was accepted into the BFA Film and Television Production program. During this time, Fiona developed a strong working relationship with Cylan Shaffer working on over five core projects together. Obsessed with coffee, travel, and typography, Fiona draws most of her inspiration from some combination of the three. She would like to write and direct films about socially relevant issues and to promote the work of emerging filmmakers. She’s most interested in how media affects us and would like to work on films that explore human nature. After recently graduating with her BFA in May 2013, Fiona plans to move to LA and work in the industry.
Cylan Shaffer was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating at the top of his high school class, Cylan went to the University of Arizona on a full academic scholarship to study mathematics. He discovered his passion for media arts during his first year through taking a number of film courses. The following year, Cylan became one of twenty students selected through portfolio submission to join the BFA Film and Television Production program. After admission, he dedicated his work towards raising awareness on a number of social issues ranging from body image, social justice education, and LGBTQ rights. Cylan developed a larger appreciation for dance during college by working with several dance majors on a number of his projects and taking modern and jazz courses. Cylan recently graduated earning his BFA degree in May 2013. He plans to move to LA and pursue a career in directing, assistant direction, dance on camera, music videos, and film festival programming.
I would like to make an additional note that as a dance film the Choreographer was a major role in this production.
