BIOGRAPHIES
Michelle D’Alessandro Hatt
A Toronto-based actor, writer and director, Michelle has appeared in numerous independent films that have screened at festivals worldwide and on the Sundance Channel. In 2018 she directed and produced her first short film, Brave Little Army, which has been a selection of 17 film festivals so far, winning Best Short at Voce Spettacoloin Matera, Italy and a Special Jury Mention at Courts d’un Soirin Montreal, Canada.
Gayle Ye
Toronto-based cinematographer and director Gayle Ye's works focus on the Canadian identity. With a broad range of work from music videos to long format television series, Gayle applies a sense of integrity and thoughtful story telling across the spectrum. Gayle is an award-winning filmmaker with work screened internationally at the Cannes Court Metrage and Toronto International Short Film Festival. Most recently, she has had the immense pleasure of lensing Emmy nominated TV series Odd Squad Season 3 and a documentary in Myanmar for World Vision Canada.
Sydney Cowper
Sydney is a Toronto-based Video Editor, originally from Norfolk County, Ontario. She first discovered editing when she was 12 years old and fell in love with the creativity and "movie magic" that editing allows. Sydney graduated from Sheridan College's Media Arts program, with honors, focusing on Editing and Grip/Electric practices. She is now a member of the DGC and an Associate member of the CCE. The relationship between the pace and emotion in Sydney's work is influenced by her 12 years training as a pianist.
