SOLD – Producer, writer, actor, director, editor, VFX
Troy Greenwood is an actor/writer/director based in Calgary, Alberta. He has a long history in the film business, amassing a large list of credits both in front of and behind the camera. He’s won numerous awards including a best actor award for his performance in “Voices of Reason”, as well as multiple awards for his recently produced projects “Faded Image” and “How to Survive (a Zombie Apocalypse) in Retail”. He’s also fresh off wins for “Best Ensemble” and “Best Web Series” at the New York Film Awards for the locally-shot series “Complacency” and stars as Eddie in the Amazon Prime series “Joyology”. Beyond that, he has lead roles in the short films, “Third Wheel”, “The Narrator”, “The Vase” and “Sold” which are all starting their festival runs (the latter of which he also produced and directed). And for the future, he is developing and writing the feature western “Law of the West”, co-producing the series “Violin Hill”, following the documentary subject “Butterfly Coins” and heading into production on a family drama entitled “The Marrow”. Oh, and he’s also taken on duties as a programmer for the Covellite International Film Festival, a wonderful socially-conscious festival he’s had the privilege of screening his films at the last four years running. He’s an indie-spirit at heart and is always on the look-out for great stories, with strong messages, to collaborate on, so don’t be afraid to say “hello”, because he’s also a bit of an introvert.
