Last year, in 2024, we had a fun-filled week with multiple Meet-Ups, exquisite opening and closing night parties, panels, workshop, fantastic independent films, and optional VIP lounge. The 2025 Short Film Oscar went to “I’m Not a Robot” which won Best Foreign Short from Lady Filmmakers in 2024! We’ve had other films go on to be nominated for an oscar and win an Emmy!
Lady Filmmakers celebrates lady filmmakers, musicians, artists and the men who collaborate with them. We look forward to seeing everyone in September 2025 for the 17th Annual Lady Filmmakers Festival!
We are about building a community while fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all. We champion and celebrate talented independent women filmmakers, storytellers, and diverse voices from all over the world. Lady Filmmakers is forward thinking and trendsetting. We have been at the forefront of inclusivity showcasing unique, diverse voices and perspectives. We celebrate women filmmakers and the men who collaborate with them as we are welcoming to everyone. The festival showcases films from new filmmakers to seasoned professionals branching out into a new area of filmmaking. We’ve screened passion projects from Academy Award winning actors and filmmakers to short films from elementary school student filmmakers and everything in between! We are a great showcase for established talent as well as a springboard for filmmakers to go to the next level with their careers no matter where you are along this exciting journey!
The competitive, fun-filled 6 day festival takes place in the heart of the film business, Beverly Hills, California, surrounded by Hollywood’s movers and shakers, top agencies, and film production companies. Beverly Hills offers a unique travel experience! All screenings and events are in Beverly Hills which are included with the Filmmaker Passes. Our fun opening night dinner is a unique slow-speed - “dating” - style networking event that kicks off the festival in a way that helps you make festival friends quickly, elevating your festival experience. LA, West Coast and World Premieres get extras if selected to the festival.

All festival screenings and parties take place IN PERSON in the world-famous Beverly Hills, California. We screen at the beautiful and historic 400 seat Fine Arts Theater with the highest quality sound and projection.
We are a great showcase for industry professionals and a springboard for talented seasoned and first-time directors and indie short and feature filmmakers. The festival directors are filmmakers too & understand what it's like on both sides of a festival and try to provide as many wonderful experiences and opportunities to our Official Selection Attendees and Cinephiles alike.
