Film Distribution Through The Eyes of A Filmmaker
Seminar with Spero Stamboulis

A real and pragmatic view of the "true" mechanics of independent film distribution. The realities of the deal "not" on paper. How to evaluate a distributor or sales agent....they are not the same thing. What it really takes to make and distribute a film successfully. Here is an opportunity to learn from a producer who has completed and distributed 20 plus films and also crossed the line into distribution for the past six years.

With an illustrious career spanning nearly three decades in the entertainment industry, Spero Stamboulis has emerged as a seasoned professional with a multifaceted understanding of film and television production. Over the last 15 years, he has made significant contributions by producing an impressive portfolio of 30 films. His journey extends beyond the role of a producer, as he actively engages in consulting with filmmakers, guiding them through the intricate processes of film creation and sales.
Six years ago, Spero unexpectedly found himself venturing into the realm of film distribution. Despite his wealth of experience in film production, he encountered the stark realization that distribution posed an entirely different set of challenges—one that he had yet to navigate. The intricacies of this complex world and the prevalence of dishonest practices within the industry served as eye-opening lessons.
Undeterred by the unexpected hurdles, Spero embraced the opportunity for growth. In a pivotal turn, he sought mentorship from a seasoned and honest distributor. This mentorship became a transformative experience, equipping him with the insights and knowledge needed to navigate the nuanced landscape of film distribution successfully.
Now, armed with a profound understanding of both film production and distribution, Spero Stamboulis has positioned himself as an invaluable resource for fellow filmmakers. Ever open to sharing his experiences and insights, he serves as an advisor, offering guidance to those seeking to navigate the challenging terrain of the entertainment industry.
As a mentor and advisor, he continues to play a crucial role in empowering filmmakers, ensuring they not only create compelling content but also navigate the complexities of distribution with confidence and integrity.
